This is a five-day hide tanning immersion with Mara Cur and Mark Santamaria from Fern + Roe, at our studio on the WSANEC Peninsula, Vancouver Island.

We gather each day from 11am-4pm (sometimes we end at 5pm).

You tan 3 full-sized hides of your choice + take home what you make.

Stay with us on Anneth Farm in your own private guest suite, with kitchenette + bath, for no extra cost.

Come solo or with a friend or partner.

Your hide mentorship is a time for you to be in retreat mode. To take time out of your regular rhythm + bring full attention to your body as you work hides each day. To rest, yet work. To play, yet create. And if you’re an experienced hide tanner, you’ll deepen your knowledge of this craft with the hands-on teachings from us in a private solo class.

  • Stay on the farm in our beautiful guest suite, the Loft above the horse barn. Your own private kitchenette, bed, + bath

  • We provide you with three hides (or you bring your own). You choose the species of hide x the tanning methods (we give you guidance to choose)

  • We help you tan, teach you from our hard-earned experience, and let you learn by doing
